tundra: 14.021 @ 98.86 mph
I'll admit it.. I really really like the 5.7L Tundra.. If I had the choice between the FX4 and the 5.7L Tundra TRD, I would take the Tundra.
The spot I looked had the Tundra showing a higher towing and payload capacity.

Tundra is payload rated at 2,065, f-150 payload capacity of 3,060
So is that really a stock time, or a "'stock" (hint hint nudge nudge) time???
If thats bare a$$ stock thats a fuggin fast truck. You guys cant cover that up with "they had to have rebates to sell them", or "well the F150 can haul more and tow more" or "its ugly". Who gives a ***, thats not what we are talking about here
I love how those three things come up every single time the work Tundra is brought up...actually I dont love it, Its Fn stupid...
I would love to see how many people who bring somethng like that up actually use their truck like, oh my God, a TRUCK. Friggin pavement queens are all 3/4s of the truck on here are...anything can run up and down the highway (including a *casp* TUNDRA!!), so why bring something like 'its not a truck' up when half of your peoples 'trucks' are used like a damn 4 door sedan !!!
ANYWHO, I actually like to go fast no matter what Im in (if it has wheels it was meant to be raced dammit
), and a fast truck definatley catches my eye. Very impressive for a stock truck, how many other pickups can you name that actually go that fast besides the Lightning, which was made to go fast.
I def. wouldnt want to play with one on the streets if I had any bets riding on it...
Forgot to add....
SUE ME! /rant And no, I would never own one.

People here knock the emphasis put on speed because to most of us IT DOES NOT MATTER! Even if the f-150 was faster I honestly believe few if any would bring it up in a debate like this. I tow regularly in the spring, use my truck to Haul my ATV, fire wood and supplies for work. I use a truck as a truck, not a sports car. I find it funny you argue that the features that seperate a truck from a car are not worth bringing up. Im not out looking for a race on friday night, im parking my truck in the mud and unloading my ATV

In fact, impossible with your numbers I'd be willing to bet.

I have yet to see it written in stone that a pickup cant be fast. Anybody that is into automobiles is into speed...
I bring it up because of the people who compare the 'truckness' of both of them when they do nothing more than use their trucks as a car. They brag about the F150's better payload, towing, blah blah, when to them it doesnt (shouldnt) matter at all! Let the people that actually USE their trucks bish about that. I guess Im complaining more about the people that pretend to use their trucks, but are on pavement 90 percent of the time and dont do much more than haul some grass clippings or move some furniture.
No hard feelings Scott, good for you that you arent scared to haul something and take it off the highway.
I use my truck for what it was designed for and then some...but I AM out looking for races on Friday night

, Dont get me wrong I do wish Ford had something putting down 400+ HP & 420 + TQ. If I could get that and the towing & hauling I would be a happier man. While I hardly ever use more than half throttle, its not to say you wouldnt find me leaving a few marks behind at a stop light or 2

WOW the F150 can tow 200lbs more..
Wait whats that? F-150 can carry a half ton more? Is that a bit overqualified? Yes. Good thing to overqualify in? Yes. Does it make the tundra less of a truck? No...
So it can basicly tow the same amount. It also can carry more then 9/10's of the trucks on this site will ever see in the bed of their truck. Whats that? And it's faster? Gee golly!
I will say though.. the tundra does look like a beached whale..

You guys are getting WAY too caught up in it.
I like my girlfriend's response the best. We were at the Minnesota state fair and sat in the Tundra CrewMax with every option that Tundra had to offer.
The very first thing she said was a complaint with how large the center arm rest was. She said she felt like she was too far away from me and liked sitting closer (like in the F150, even though I too have a center console -albeit smaller).
I would have never thought about it. But I found it a funny and interesting perspective.
