Basically torrents work like this:
1. Download and install torrent client
2. Go to a "Tracker" and find what you want. I suggest Torrentz.com as is searches multiple public trackers. Private trackers are usually much better but you have to seed and cannot "hit n run." Demonoid, TheDVDClub, Oink, HDBits, ILoveTorrents, and BitSoup are some private trackers that come to mind.
3. Download the .torrent file from the website and open it (or simply set it to open automatically with your client of choice).
4. Enjoy your free stuff.

Also, I highly recommend downloading and installing PeerGuardian. It blocks a range of IP addresses that have potential to be from the RIAA/MPAA/Etc. Basically, it helps keep you from getting sued.

Yea this is probably the best info in this thread. Good all around advice, and everything covered

I have BitLord (that's the client) installed so I just go someplace like Torrent Portal and search for what I want. ie; I search for Ford and come up with this. Then if you see something you like with a green bar next to it just click it. On the next page click the "Download this torrent" button and when the little window pops up click Open. If you already have a client installed and associated it will auto open and start downloading.

Aint that the truth. I have over 900 CD's in my collection. I bet I bought 95% of them in the 90's. Anything I buy now has to have a song I really really like or else I'm not spendning over 10 bucks for it.

Oh,,and it's just fun giving Z'man chit..he deserves it

Ima kill you... :santa: Now get busy and go fix my stuff. I do have a growing CD collection, although I only buy the CD if I know I will like all/most of the songs. Other than that, I'm downloading it.
