Just heard from my son in Beaumont.

We are ok. Yard is torn up and back of the garage at the end of the driveway peeled away. We were up all night because of the noise. Those things are nasty. Fortunately, we only lost power for about an hour at our house. Many folks are going to be without for several days.

He grew up in West Texas where we occasionally had a tornado. He hates the hurricanes!

We're still getting some rain South of New Orleans, nothing too bad like Katrina which wiped out just about everything about 40 miles South of me. We had 30ft of saltwater over the main highway.

That's good that your son and family are OK. Now you have to get down there and fix things up for him, you know, the right way.

That's good. Now you can spend more time fixing your pool.
