I was in 9th grade, 4th hour geometry class when I first heard the news. Still had no clue what was going on until I got home and was able to see for myself.

Myself and a former girlfriend were on a plane flying to Singapore on a trip I won from Ford. The attack happened while we were in the air between Japan and Singapore. No one on the flight knew anything and the pilots sure didn't mention it. We didn't find out till we got to the hotel and turned on the tv. It was a little interesting getting back to the US later that week.

I was in my senior year of highschool. I was in homeroom where we usually watch tv that airs the local school news. Once the school news was over we usually switch over to something interesting (Jerry Springer, Maury). My friend was switching channels and i was staring at the tv to see what he was going to put on and he stopped once he saw "Special Report" on the top of the screen. Obviously it was one of the twin towers up in smoke. We all gathered around the tv and saw the second plane hit the other tower live...

I was the only one to speak and say "that was a *******ing plane!"

Got out of the shower getting ready for my 8:00 Business Accounting I class. Roomates had the news on with the first tower hit. It wasn't until I got to class that I knew about the second tower when the teacher announced it. Some of my classmates were clueless

We carried on with class, but I'm sure no one got anything out of it.

I was driving to work when I heard about the first one on the radio. It started out sounding like some kind of accident. Got to work, turnrd on the TV and saw the second one hit. It was an unbelievable feeling to witness all that, even just on TV. Can't imagine being there.

A place called Zama City, way up north at an Apache gas plant, watched the whole thing unfold on the internet in the main control room.
I will never forget it.

Jeff and I was stirring paint in the garage of a condo we were remodeling. Robert (foreman) came running out and said a plane just slammed into one of the trade centers towers. It was on the Eagle (97.1 - station is no longer, damn clear channel bastards ! ! ! )

Anyway, we all ran in and was listening to the radio, when BAM...plane 2.

It was a scary feeling, I mean for all we knew, America was at war......

I was driving to school with a friend - senior year of college. We found a free table in a hallway/breakroom and were going over some notes for a test that morning. All the hallway TV's had their volume cranked up, but there weren't any near us. We thought it was odd, since hall TV's were always very low volume or muted. So, after about 30 minutes we finally walked down to a main hall and found a crowd of people gathered around, and asked. We couldn't believe it, but every TV in the tech center was on a news channel until they finally canceled classes and sent everyone home around noon... gas was around $5-$6 on the way home...

It was my first year at college and I was on my way to Chemistry when the first one hit but I had no idea. I got to class and see everyone talking about something but I had no idea what and didnt really know anyone yet. The professor was late and when he finally got there he mentioned something about the "events that happened earlier" and at this point I am really confused. An administrator then came in and said there has been a second attack and the campus is being evacuated (FSU) bc it is so close to the capitol building where the Presidents brother was (or so they said). Needless to say my normal 5 min drive off campus turned into an hour and I started hearing about it on the radio but didnt see any pictures until almost 11 that morning. Pretty scary day.

I was on my way into work and heard the special report announcing that the first tower was struck. At that point they did not know if it was an accident or not. Got into the office and jumped onto the net and was reading the news stories and listening to the radio. Then the reporters came on stating that the second tower was hit.

It was a very sad day as it changed so many lives and still affects each an everyone of us even today.

I was at work.....pretty much goofing off when we heard something on the radio....we huddled around the tv at the secretary's desk watching what was going on. Didn't see the 2nd plane hit (live) because we were out getting a bday present for the boss's wife. It felt wierd driving around, as there was hardly anyone else out and about.

I was working at my golf course when I heard the news over the radio. I was head of irrigation, so I got to stay in our shop and listen to everything. But it wasnt until about 3:00pm that day that I actually got to see everything that happened. It was still a shock even though I knew what had happened.
