I would love to see what the new Ford is going to look like? I was reading that Dodge is getting a diesel for 2008 in their new 1500 pick up. Interesting.

I'm waiting to see how a 1/2 ton diesel will perform. 350HP/700TQ (with mods of course). That'd be sweet!

They didn't learn their lesson with the Blackwood.

Yes they did. Ford just wanted to have a vehicle to compete with the Escalades, and lost again. I think I've seen 3 Mark LT's on the road in Atlanta.

The LT was just a rebadged F150 to most people... at least the Escalade was a low production truck (Avalanche), not their work truck. It was a foolish move to begin with.

Sounds like a "Platinum" edition F150 is on the way. How much better than a Lariat could it be?

Ford really needs to stick with what they know and stop trying to compete in such a high end segment. There's only so much "luxury" they can put into a truck before it's priced out of reach of everyone interested in owning one.

I saw this coming with the intro of the LT back in 2005. Way to go Ford! This is definitely NOT the way forward.

Its because it REALLY is....I've compared my F-150 to a Mark LT Side by side.

Exactly the same except for like.... Interior leather is a tiny little bit nicer....Nicer Rims....Might be a little more, but thats the feeling I got from it.

However, it feels like it has more acceleration than my F-150, Did they do anything to the engine?

I just bought an 07 KR Screw 4x4. Bought it because of the "Luxury." I still thought it has that rugged feel with the seat color and paint job. I hunt, fish and camp out of it...and will not care if a mesquite bush scratches my clearcoat. It will buff out after deerseason. It seems a lot of guys buy lower end (not a cut, just an observation) truck, put a huge lift on it, and the hardest test their truck will ever endure, is an over looked pothole. They wax them every weekend and treat them with love. I could have bought the 4x4 Lincoln for 4 grand more. But what would I be getting? I would just feel like I was screwing up a grand marquis. I still will catch hell for what i am gonnna put my KR though because its so nice. Dont care!!!! Bought it, and gonna use it like a truck. If I bought the Lincoln...couldnt really take it through the brush, and get dove blood on those pretty seats. If my KR gets a blood stain...I consider that a good huntin day!

Just a Redneck with an overpriced truck, but smart enough to save 4k and spend it on Sako's, Bennellis, and Kimbers!

It's about time. That truck was the only way an 04+ F150 could look ugly.

Some Doctor down the road here drives a Mark LT. I waved at him one day while passing by. You know, just trying to be friendly to a fellow Ford owner. He looked at me all mad like "How dare you cometh before me without bowing at my feet." WTF man? It actually made him mad because I threw up a hand. Must be because I drive a lowly v-6 powered F-150 XL.
