If the snake was a danger to anyone by being in a residential neighborhood or near a home where children may pass..... shot the sum bich !

If its in the middle of the woods where it's no harm to anyone.... drop a gernade

They eat once a week to a month depending on size and only have to clean its cage once a week. They make no noise unless its a rattler but if u have one of those for a pet then u have major issues lol. A ball python is the perfect pet snake for the beginner. They grow 5 to 6 feet at most and are very very calm and gentle snake that you can take anywhere around your neck.

Give snakes a chance, dont kill them unless absolutley neccessary.

You work for PETA dont you?

Nice Sig Matt.

shroomie how many rattlers did he have?

We were up on the Eel river in Mendocino county California Steelhead fishing one year and we were walking by this rock all morning. Well one of our dog's (that we bring along to keep the Bears at bay) started raising hell with that rock after it had warmed up. When we looked under it there's this close to 3 foot Diamond Back laying under it. We had been walking just inches from it all morning but it was too cold to strike.
That was too close.

Now, now, my northern friend......

Snakes are a VERY important part of the eco system....seriously. When the earth looses a species of any form of life, no matter how small or how large, it impacts our eco system.

That's not good for us.

This period of Earth Science has concluded...thank you, come again.

Amen!

I too have had a couple snakes, mostly wild ones I'd keep for a few months and release, but my favorite was a ball python... Best pet you could ask for...

However, I must admit when copperheads come snooping around the house, they occasionally end up buzzard fodder... I only do this to help support the local scavengers... and protect the lazy walker's feet...

My wife feels all snakes should die. I just have to keep asking her if she'd rather have mice or snakes...

While working on the house a few weeks back a 5' black snake crawled in the open front door, and sat and watched us for a few minutes a few inches from my foot. Once I got my wife out of the rafters I ran the snake out, but I would never consider harming a black snake... especially since I built a house in his neighborhood.

The only good snake is a dead snake!

I hate snakes with a passion, I don't discriminate between them, If I see one in the back yard, crawlin in the grass, I run it over with the John Deere, or turn on the mover deck & chop it's *** up, or crush it with the front end loader attatchment.........Yeah I guess you can say I really hate snakes!..................

Ata boy.

Rosie,

we have rattlesnake round ups every year in Taylor, TX, and those are AWESOME to watch. You can get all kinds of neat little rattlesnake gadgets, and they make the best Smoked rattler you've ever tasted.

I tried rattlesnake when we lived in Louisiana, my husband killed one and we Q'ed it up, not to bad but they don't have a lot of meat on them! We had the rattle laying around the house for a long time but I haven't seen it in years. I wonder what happened to it?
