I agree about the bed. There's something there that just ain't right, and that's my big hold back... I think part of it is the skinny b-pillar. I don't care for the skinny pillars of the 64-67, much prefer the pillars on my '77...
i hate that style camino you got there lol, 1970 was the best year for it...

Edit : the pontiac comment; that front end is the new G8, a carbon copy of a holden.

I agree there were better years, but it was '71 not '70...

and that Pontiac isn't really a carbon copy Holden, just a rebadged Holden...

Never say never...
Let me rephrase that- not NEARLY enough.

I do agree that some like smaller. I LOVED my supercab Ranger EDGE but the 3.slow made me itch for something new. But, the big seller by an absolute massive landslide in America is the full size truck- not the little guys. Even the best selling compact (Tacoma) is only 30k~ units a year. No way will the Australian ute come here... not enough demand

The main thing I see here is full sized trucks, so not sure what you mean.

Didn't chevy already try this with that butt-ugly VW beetle-with-a-bed from a couple years ago? Can't even remember what it's called, but you know what I mean..

Is that it's no longer built that it's never mentioned in the "ugly truck" polls?

They could have changed just a couple of things and it would have been a nice looking, and useful, lowered little truck.

GM designers seem to smoke more crack than average.

That El Camino concept looks like a two-door Ridgeline..

i think it looks pretty cool. i have a 70 super sport camino, so i am partial.

but i wonder how many they would sell. 2 door cars are a hard sell now. that's why they added 2 doors to the charger. a 2 door vehicle with only 2 seats makes it even more limited. not too many family guys going to be buying one of those..... where do they put the kids?

oaw
