I was watching Red Dawn last night, and it got me thinking. If there was some kind of invasion or large-scale attack on American soil, do you think the citizens of this country could, and would, stand up and fight? There are a lot of armed rednecks, including myself, who would give up everything to save their country. What scares me though, is how many people there are nowadays who think that there is no situation that warrants violence. IMO, these are the people that will ultimately get our country into a heap of trouble.

I dont have a gun, but i live in Miami so i could procure one in about an hour. I think we would definately be able to defend ourselves especially with home field advantage. Geez all you really need is a sniper rifle and you can just knock em down all day long ...

The vast majority, no, I don't think so. If I was to guess, I'd say maybe one third to one half of the population would take up arms and shoot back.

I havent seen red dawn and I dont wanna look it up right now but you guys are describing exactly whats goin on in Iraq. Its just funny cause a lot of people on here are saying how the insurgents and the people that pop up out of no where and shoot our marines and kill them. Well, they are just defending their land.
