The thing is, I almost said 64 but something about it made me think it was later. I had a 66 for a short time. Bought it, did a repair on it and sold it.

The first F-150 was a heavy duty payload package on the F-100. Chevy and Dodge did the same thing (heavy half), it was to get around early emissions laws. 1975 was the first year of the catalytic converter, 6000+ GVW didn't have to have one.
