NASCAR "Oh Canada" question

I noticed they sang "Oh Canada" at Watkins Glen last week before "The Star Spangled Banner". Now they're singing it again right now at the Michigan race.

What gives?

Just curious. Is it the proximity to the border, or what?

And by the way, whoever just sang our National Anthem SUCKS!!!

I dunno but, this has to suck for those that took an extra dy off work and still didn't get to see the race. Doesn't look like hardly anyone in the stands.

I wish I lived near a track.

Edit: This is Ford's track. Look for Carl or Matt to be at the front at the end.

GO FORD!!

I'm at work listening. Michigan is a pretty boring track to watch anyway.

As far as living close to a track, I'm sure it would begin to lose it's charm after a year or so. I had 4 weekend tickets to Bristol this coming weekend and sold 'em to the highest bidder. I'll watch it on TV if at all

It loses pretty much all of it's charm after a while. I live 10 minutes from Daytona International Speedway and I would much rather sit on the couch and watch a race that go down there, get stuck in traffic, fight my way through the crowd, and end up squeezed in some tiny *** seat for 4 hours.

Don't feel bad, I live like 2 miles from its sister track and have only been to two races. After 10 minuets the cars are so speed out and with no cautions to bring them back together it makes for a boring race. I swear they could put 100 cars on that track and the still wouldn’t get together. I wish they would dig it up and put a 1/2 mile track.

Y'know, buckwheat, for a next-door neighbour, you have displayed a real lack of sensitivity, unity and dare I say, manners.

Tell ya what - pack up your wagon and your blanky and just move south.

You won't need to hear our anthem, and this will leave more chicken wings for the rest of us

eh?

bubba

Im like 1 hour from Homestead Speedway and IMO that is a good track. Watch all types of races there including IRL and Nascar etc etc. Seen way too many crashes at that track.
