Please to list Storm Experiences

I was in Texas once, driving a car I’d just bought back to Oregon, and got in a wicked hail storm. (Well to me it seemed wicked ) Hailing like hell, to where people had to pull off the road! You could see lightning actually striking the ground in several places in the distance. Not much like that happens in the Pacific Northwest.

But I know some of you must have been in much more serious storms.

I was out on the water with my dad about 7 years ago when out of no where a Water Spout formed. Thing was huge and the pics we took of it ended up on the local news.

I have an idea…..If Dean or some horrendously monstrous hurricane zeros in on Texas you can give us the minute by minute Blog by text communications.

“Ahh the roof has just been ripped off the house and things are not going too well…..)

Sounds like a plan, stan. It may be a bit more gruesome than that though.....something along the lines of, "wow! Two illegals and ten Katrina refugees just flew over and landed in the neighbors oak tree. As they fell to the ground, the chupacabra ate them whole."

Yes I see it all clearly now…..You are transmitting the pictures live to us. The biggest funnel spout ever witness by mankind! It closes in on you but you are transfixed in an unbelieving stupor. Then, suddenly, a huge cow is shooting from the monster’s sidewall and takes you out! Your fellow F150 forum buddies are horrified, but we immediately market the images to the National Enquirer, and pocket a hefty sum to spend on our trucks as we know "that's what you would have wanted."

There was a hurrican passing through here (surprised?) either last year or the year before. My dad and I went out on the back porch to see how our screen enclosure was doing, as it had been damaged by a previous storm. Out on the backyard fence was a possum. In 90mph sustained winds. That possum was pissed. It would walk along the top of the fence for a couple feet, then a big wind gust would come and knock it over the side. It would climb back up and continue on for a couple more feet until this happened again. We actually have it on video.

Anyway, after the storm passed we were out assessing the damage to our yard and there was the possum, sitting on the neighbor's fence. It's hair was all matted down and it just looked really pissed. Anybody who has ever been up close to a possum knows that they are not exactly friendly. They'll usually start hissing and crap if you get close to them. I walked right up to this guy, he slowly turns his head a bit, looks at me, then just looks away. I think it was too exhausted to even care that I was there.

Our guess is that when the storm came, it got really dark and the possum thought it was night, so it went out looking for food (or whatever they look for at night)(maybe female possums). Then when the storn passed the sun came out again and the possum was thoroughly wet and confused. Every now and then we get a good laugh by watching that video though.

i have a cousin in central louisiana who was out driving trying to get to his house (least that was his story. i say he was stoned trying to FIND his house but oh well). the winds were getting really bad. WHILE he was driving down the road, the wind blew over a tree on his car.

My mom was telling me this story a couple of hours later and i just started laughing. she got all pissed and said your cousin almost just died and your laughing? i'm like, what the hell are the odds of that shiznit happening?? i would NEVER drive again. that's bad joo joo.
