That possum was pissed. It would walk along the top of the fence for a couple feet, then a big wind gust would come and knock it over the side. It would climb back up and continue on for a couple more feet until this happened again. We actually have it on video.

Anyway, after the storm passed we were out assessing the damage to our yard and there was the possum, sitting on the neighbor's fence. It's hair was all matted down and it just looked really pissed. Anybody who has ever been up close to a possum knows that they are not exactly friendly. They'll usually start hissing and crap if you get close to them. I walked right up to this guy, he slowly turns his head a bit, looks at me, then just looks away. I think it was too exhausted to even care that I was there.

Our guess is that when the storm came, it got really dark and the possum thought it was night, so it went out looking for food (or whatever they look for at night)(maybe female possums). Then when the storn passed the sun came out again and the possum was thoroughly wet and confused. Every now and then we get a good laugh by watching that video though.
Sounds like the Possum got its *** kicked by the storm....yet it endevoured to persevere and lived on. This is exactly what is coming for Cancun.

Many years ago a friend and were in my house when a bad storm came up. We made sure everything was off (tv etc). While sitting there we heard a bolt of lightning hissing through the air and a crash/ flash simultaniously. Next daythe TV didn't work. Turns out the lightning or a streamer of it had hit my antenna. Right outside the window where we were sitting, was a coupler for the antenna wire, meant for lightning arresting. It was fried black. Also in that storm a tree across town was turned to matchsticks by lightning.

In 1978, I was driving home from just picking up my first F150. Storm came up. It started hailing. Don't think I wasn't worried, I was. Brand new truck and hail. Not a great mixture.

A few years ago during a very windy storm, I was looking out the window when a gust blew over a tree in my neighbors yard. Went right down on top their shed. Crushed it flat. Also brushed their home, fortunately no damage to the home.
