1/2 German, 1/2 everything else. I know there is American Indian in the mix but that's all I know about my moms side of the family.

Actually it's not that uncommon here. Canada lets people hold dual citizenship with several countries as does the U.S.. When I got sworn in here there were 47 other people also getting sworn in. I talked to many of them and found about 10 that were also American and one of them was even from Texas. None of them were denouncing their U.S. citizenship. I only did it to make sure I got Canada pension and whatever else retired people here get since I plan on staying here for good. I have many working years ahead of me, I'm just thinking ahead.
I know there are a lot of myths about a U.S. citizen getting Canadian citizenship but they're just myths.

I think you mean, "ethnicity", not "nationality".
Anyways, for me its German and Swiss. That must be why I love cold weather so much.

Ethnicity may have been a better word, but I think nationality fits. Whenever I hear the question posed, it is usually nationality.

Thumbs up

German & Norwegian heritage which makes me a stubborn non-hyphenated American.

I lived just a few miles down the A422 in Banbury and Middleton Cheney.

My mom is 100% English and my dad is American, not sure where his ancestors came from.

I'm a dang mutt.

German, French (figure that one out), English, American Indian (small part), and bunch of other European crap. We Vaders had no sense of loyalty.

Now we is all just American and to heck with what came before.

I tried to look it up once but they cut down the tree my hillbilly family carved the information in to. They took that "family tree" bit too seriously.
