Look there are pros from a wide variety of fields on this site. If I had a problem with plumbing, I would google those sites first but I would have ZERO problems asking it here. There are some people here that really know their stuff.

And regardless of where you ask your questions you are going to get morons and those who know.

Ask away, the worst that happens is that it gets ignored or you get bad advice.

And my point is you can get the same bad advice from experts-exchange.com or any other IT site. There is not shortage of idiots out there giving advice. Just because you are on an computer site doesn't mean you are getting good advice.

Um, hello??? Walk into any O'reilly's, Autozone, NAPA, Pep Boys, Advance, etc, etc and I'm sure you will get VERY GOOD expert advice. I'm mean... come one... they sell auto parts, they've got to know it!
