I saw two each of the last two nights but didn't stay out very long. They were also around the Big Dipper. Going to watch for longer tonight.

We went out from 10:30 - 11:45 and saw 20. Then it clouded over so we came in. I'll have another look before bed.

I got out to a good spot at 11:45 central time and just got back..2:30 now.

I counted 67... but one was simply amazing... happened at 12:54. I came out of my chair. I've never seen anything like that in my life. Just that one meteor made the whole night worth it.

Good show.

I saw 7 on Saturday and this morning at 5.00 am 2.
A bit dissapointing.

J. I think you got one more chance to see them.
Well at least here, they said on the radio.
Tonight you can see them for the last time this year.

Don't know about the US though.

I'll check it out tonight. I hope so. I dig that kind of thing.

I can't wait for the next lunar eclipse...I missed the one in March, but according to Wikipedia we should see one towards the end of the this month.

Hey all, glad alot of you got to see something. I went down to my favorite camp-ground, set up before dark Sat. night, saw a couple dozen, and then it kinda petered out around midnight. Went back out a couple times, but ended up crashing around 4 am. Same thing happened Sun. night, but clouds rolled in at about 2:00 am, I stayed up till 4:30, but the dreaded beer did me in and I crashed at about 4:30. Got to see a couple fireballs that left smoke trails, maybe the space station early Sun. night, and a bunch of other sats., so it wasn't a totally wasted week-end. Except for where I set up my cameras, and never took a single picture. Kept waiting for that peak to happen, they were saying about one a minute, just never made it there. Well, there's always the Leonids in November, I haven't seen any predictions for that one yet. I'll start another thread when we get closer. Again, glad I sparked a little interest, jamz is right, there is an eclipse happening the end of the month, should be a good one. Don't forget to check it out. Peace, Dave.

LIke I said.. I saw a BUNCH. I went out to the old coal mines ans posted up. Sat in the bed of the truck and looked straight up.

I saw the "one" and I absolutely blew my mind. made the whole night worth it. It was like somthing out of a sci-fi movie.

Hey khendrix, what made that one so special? Color? Brightness? Smoke trail? I'm glad you enjoyed it. Peace, Dave.
