I know it sometimes doesn't. I have a P5LD2 sitting on a shelf because of it. Yet I know people that have had no problem using it. I killed mine good. It won't even boot to the cd that came with the board that has the recovery bios on it.

Had the same problem with an Intel board. That is why I now use the flash method and a USB pen drive to do the update. Hasn't failed yet.You don't have to redo the setup each time, just copy the iflash.exe and BIO file to the drive and reboot.

why not. I plan on running 2 7950gx2's here in about 3 months..... and about a year or two down the road 2 8800 ultras when they drop in price. long term upgradability is important to me.

I also need a floppy to setup the raid drivers so I can install the OS.

the p5n32 sli plus also doesnt support sata optical devices in DOS...
of course who does anything in DOS anymore... altho in the chance case I do need to recover the Bios I can boot from the included DVD if the mobo isnt dead

sorry guys IDE cables arnt quite dead yet (I think they'll look cool with my matching SATA cables)

I play COD2 at 1680x1050. I think I had to manually enter it in the cfg though. Same with Q3.
I upgraded my lcd awhile back from a 19" to a 22" Viewsonic widescreen and wow what a difference.

I dont know about most of those, i only play racing games football hockey and a little sims 2. I know ea is getting dumb, ill hae to wait till madden 08 to find out about it, but i know in all the Need for speeds even carbon ( which was a total joke ) that they dont support any resolution more than 1280x1024 and you have to get a custom downloaded exe to fix it to your resolution, i got the custom one and it works great in nfsunderground 2 and nfs most wanted.
