Building a Website

Hey guys, just like the title says, I want to build a website to showcase my new fly fishing guide service that my buddy and I are starting up. So....whats the best way to go about this? I have never done anything like this before, and was wondering if you all have any advice or know of any how to guides to get me started. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

jrbhc8

Well there are a lot of tutorials if you search on google. Or go to a bookstore and get a bunch of books and read up. Or find a professional to make you a website. If you are planning on having a lot of traffic or advertising i would suggest a professional it may cost but in the long run it will be well worth it to have a nice site. I know a little myself about web designing defiantly no professional but if you have any question i would be glad to try and help yah out.

The first thing you need is to register a domain name and get a decent host.

Instead of the Myspace thing, check out blogger. You can start a blog and keep it updated weekly with things that you guys are doing. If you decide to get a regular site, you can link to your blog so that people can check out what you are doing as well as read your regular website.

Blogs are easy to do and once you start getting traffic, it could be a valuable asset.

If you can cast with a flyrod, we'll go sometime when school starts up.
