I don't really have a Texas drawl though I have been so accused. I don't notice it at all. Every time I talk to one of those funny talking Yankees, they just burst out laughing at me. Don't know what they have to laugh about, they're the ones that can't speak correctly. Besides, it's just so rude!

Smokey, you ever heard of Chris Knight? He is one of your eastern Kentucky musicians. He is one of my favorites. Writes some awesome stuff, and yep, he does have a bit of an accent. Dwight Yoakum is from there as well, but believe he has been Californiaized.

Dwight Yoakam is one of my favorite country music artists.

yep, I have all his music. heard he is coming ourt with a 15 song tribute to Buck Owens in October. Dwight's "He Sang Dixie" is about as good as it gets.

Chris Knight can get a little "dark" with his killing songs, but man, he's good. He is a bit of a character too, been known to leave the stage to go talk to some loud and rowdies, explaining they can be quiet and listen or leave. I think he was overheard to say "you shut the ******* up or I'll go Jamzwayne on you!" They got quiet.

Alot of times they can't really do their own thing until after they make it big either.

Been a while since I went there, but this place has an excellent set up for tractor pulls. If you happen to be in the area.

Well, I know this....

The tickets a still good, and they are going to try again this Saturday....if it doesn't rain till then, but it looks like we might get some scattered T-Storms throughout the week.

I'll keep you all posted, and post pics ASAP.

I went to Las Vegas in June and got laughed at by a few people. I don't notice it myself, but everyone else sure does.

And generally, the higher my blood alcohol level goes, the thicker my accent gets. LOL

Me??
Have an Accent???
I was even slowing down almost to a slur and announciating for you.

That was the only difference that I noticed was the slower speed and you used more consonants.
