My only requirements would be 4 doors (will have kids on the weekend) and obviously along that route a decent size (no Mini Cooper) for a back seat.

Start throwing out ideas, I'm at a loss, love the mustang, always wanted one but worry about rear seat room for the kids and the MN winters. Love the sporty look of the Mazda 6, VW Jetta GLS (black on black I saw).

TIA,
Jason

My sister considered a Fusion and an Accord so I went and test drove the Fusion with her. It's a VERY nice car, rides smooth as silk.

My Fiance just bought a fusion and I really like it. Its great on gas and I can even get in out out of it without having to roll on the ground...... Nice size, plenty of headroom and leg room up front.. Cant beat it!!

Should be able to find a 2002+- BMW 325i for under $17,000. Available in a 4 door sedan, automatic or manual tranny. Great handling and lots of fun to drive, very sporty even though it may not accelerate as hard as some of the cars previously mentioned.

That's funny you said the Fusion, I actually looked at one this weekend, 2006 20,000 miles, certified for about $15,000 (not negotiated...yet) Then I saw another that was brand new, same color (black) with sweet rims and decked out but it was low $30's. I could see me buying the certified and doing my own mods and being happy.
Also looked at a couple Lincoln LS's but they were 2000-2003's with higher miles.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, keep up the suggestions, good stuff!

Low 30's? Geeyacht dayum!

I've seen s few decked out (Dealership aftermarket upgrades) which included chrome tips on the exhaust, ground effects kit, 18 - 19" rims, sweet tires, tint, etc...

But 30?

While the fusion is a SWEET car, and we love ours. There is a LOT of competition in that $30K sandbox. Heck, that's Nissan Altima SE 3.5 territory, as well as Maxima, Acura TL, Infiniti G35, etc...

Yeah, I didn't get in it or drive it but the sticker price was just a hair over 30,000, then a little over $3000 with the "mods" they did which was the rims, leather interior (black with red stitching) and something else I don't recall, maybe ground effects. But the 30,000 was the MSRP on the window before mods. Didn't ask what they "really" wanted for it.

Some dealers do that kinda isht.

Not to call their names or anything, but Crest Infiniti/Cadillac/Isuzo in Plano does that too. The new Escalades hit the lot last year, and about October, they were having a "blow-out" sale on the remaiing old bodystyle Escalades still on the lot. So, I figured I'd go take a look, not sure if I could slide out of this lease or not. But, if the discount was great enough, maybe I could... Afterall, escalades MSRP for $51,000- and no one pays MSRP anymore, right?

I got there, and the cheapest old bodystyle (Surely, they are gonna be damn-near giving these away, next to the new ones, right?) Escalade on the lot was $74,000 marked down from $85,000.00

They had Brembo brakes, a custom headliner, 22" rims, and something under the hood (perhaps a supercharger) they said was the reason why the MSRP was $30,000 over a base Escalade. They had 5 - 7 of these pimped out, old bodystyle Escalades on the lot.

I had already picked out a favorite (from the road). Little did I know it would be $15,000 more expensive the the first brand-new house I bought in Killeen in 1996.

fusions are dog slow. I wouldn't get one for that reason only. I think the new ones have 255ish horse (I hope for Ford's sake they do), but the one's in your price bracket have either a 4 banger or 220ish hp 6.

You can get into a 04 maxima, or an 04 altima with the 3.5, for cheaper than you think. Those things are monsters, and from a roll will run with Mustang GT's, pre 05 anyway.

Subaru legacy GT isn't bad. 250 hp and AWD. It has a detuned WRX STI motor in it.

Impala SS's and P GXP's are OK, but not cheap and not good on gas.

A Fusion might be my next car in 2-3 years here... what do you guys think about me fitting in it being 6'3" and 150 lbs.?
