You do have to make a crossmember to bolt the rear of the cab to the frame and a couple of risers for the front of the bed but thats pretty simple too. If you need any other info, just let me know, I am so ready to get her on the road!
Well, if I decide to buy my Ranger back I may be bugging you about it...

I just keep thinking it would look sweet slammed, in Dark Shadow Gray with deep dish anthrocite FR500's or solid black (trim and all) with black deep dish FR500's...

Is there a particularly good forum for this year of truck? I'm curious to see what others are doing. Can't wait to see yours finished...

LMAO!

Boy Oh Boy! I got a chance to read it before you edited it. That was hilarious.

I don't know about the 73-79 trucks (dentsides) but there is a great forum for the 68-72 (bumpsides) at www.fordification.com and since these trucks are essentially the same except for a few minor things, you could probably pick up some valuable info there.

Thanks... I'll check it out.

I got a good lead yesterday on a '78 short step F150. I had tried to buy it once before, but he never would decide on a price... It doesn't run, but the body is much nicer than my old Ranger, and it has the grill I prefer... It belongs to a buddy's dad. Gonna see if he'll make me a good deal since I was planning on buying an old Mopar off him already...

Have a couple of problems with mine.

Strange Check Engine Light code.
I looked up the code and the reason is: 'You Don't Have One'

Also it won't pass inspection.
No front plate,
but when I put a front plate on it the headlights are covered up plus I can't see where I'm going.
