My new quad mods

I been slacking on buying stuff for my truck after I got my subs and amp put in, but I've been making up for it on my quad..
I just ordered a set of LTE dual exhaust(Looney Tuned Racing) with all hardware/quiet cores and spark arrestors.
New these pipes run $700+ and ceramic coating xtra 150.00(which I didn't) +shipping..
I got hooked up with a sweet deal from one of my raptorfoum.com sponsors that just did a dual exhaust pipe shoot out. I got the set he used in the shootout for a KILLER price
Now I just need to get a EFI tuner , going with Dyno Jet PC3 (the Troyer of atv tuners) and a GYTR billet intake with K&N filter.
And also going up 1 size on the front sproket to help get the power to the ground.

here is a pic of my white rappy, with stock exh, (top 2 pics)
and below is the same year with the duals just to give you an idea of what they look like...It will make a huge difference in power after I install those 4 things, I can't wait to get it done. Sucks that the exhaust is as much as a truck exhaust..This winter I plan to tear down the engine and add a Wiseco 11:1 piston, Hotcams stage 2 cam, and port and polish my head. And all that work is less than the exhaust was!! When I'm done is should have went from 38rwhp, to 62 rwhp ,and TQ will be up there, but not 100% sure on #'s, high 40's low 50's for tq

Sweet looking quad, I want to get a 4x4 next and I think the snorkel is the way to go, I wanna see some serious water and mud just like that..
I was getting ready to tease you about the dvx..hahaha
what did you have before the artic cat?
Did you see artics web site, a new Thundercat quad! 950cc's , site says 188 ft lbs tq, but that has to be a typo, that'd rip the whole drive train apart, even 88 is super high, they could do it easily with that tcat 1000 engine, but i don't see that hapining in a quad, i can't wait to see one in person... I wanted a yam grizzly 700, but that new tcat is very tempting

I have my Thunder Cat on order already got the deposit down. I have a Big Bear 400 2wd for about 4ish years. Man that thing will follow anything and if it got stuck I would just pick it up and move it. I can't wait to get my TC I am getting with 31inch outlaws and 14inch black rims.

Nope I really didn't get to talk to much about it. I am driving over to Texas to pick it up I think they said Sept/Oct. So I have been doing all of my talking over the phone. I will ask them sometime next week.

first off nick sweet quad! i have seen lesser quads in the sand racing and the power to weight ratio of those things is nuts. I have an arctic cat and love getting onthe trails. mines a stock 07 400 auto

Thanks man, yeah the first time I rode it, I think I may have sharted just a tiny bit! hahaha. I had never felt something with so much TQ. As soon as you hit the gas it's gone.
As far as weight goes, most the guys with sport quads have 400's and 450's and they weigh in at 350dry,and the rappy is 396dry. So yeah, it's not very heavy considering all 46lbs is in engine weight almost...the 450's are awesome quads, but since I do a lot of trail riding I didn't like the way you have to be in higher rpms all the time to use your powerband. Plus this has reverse and efi,all the creature comforts a guy needs. This thing you can lug slow in 2nd and 3rd no problem and have all the power as soon as you hit the gas.
And with the bigger displacement when I add engine mods it goes a lot further than on a 450. As in if we both have the same budget and same mods to add I'll end up way ahead on HP and TQ. You get an average of 26rwhp on a stock yfz vs 38 on rappy, if you add the big 3 (efi tuner, intake, pipe)(jets, pipe, intake) the yfz will be at about 38rwhp,and the rappy will be at about 50-54. Once you get internal, watch out! these things can really rip. Big bore kits as big as 906are out already...if you wanna run race gas..a little much for me, but I still want more poooooweerrr
