Interesting Exhaust Mod

Notice the add-on pipe at the rear of the Toyota here in the photo. I took this last week at Jametown, VA - the tourist area - at the Jamestown Settlement museum to be specific. I was walking past this and couldn't help but notice. I was like, what the !?!? It's a piece of pipe just clamped on with a muffler clamp. To me, it appeared the factory exhaust was still there and fine...but some goofball clamped this beauty on!

so fresh and clean clean.

there are tons of cars here with autozone tips clamped on to stock exaust, and they end up sticking out 3-6" from the side of the vehicle

I mean, this one...it's not even chrome or anything...LOL I just don't see the point. Maybe the guy thought there was some need for it...but it looks totally silly.

Maybe he likes to keep the gutters free of loose debris and leaves.

The soccer mom must have been burning her leg in the original tailpipe or something.

I see it has a hitch, so maybe he didn't want the exhaust blowing at the trailer. Maybe he tows animals in the trailer. Just a possible theory. It looks like *** though. LOL
