6 hours every day for 3.5 years?

Riiiight...

Anyway, like you say... it's all relative and you base your purchase on your viewing habits. The casual viewer will never see a plasma fade and will probably never replace an LCD/DLP bulb before they upgrade to the next best thing.

Mine is the same then often now during the summer I am home with the kids all day so the kids run it all day and then I run it all night. It's on right now, noises in hte back ground I am here looking something up and working on something outside. Wife took youngest daughter to a freind to spend teh night, oldest dauhter is in her room on the computer and watching her TV. No one is in front of or paying attention to the living room TV, no one is even in teh living room, but it is on any.

Mines been on 24/7 pretty much since the midle of May with maybe 2-3 hours at a time for a break. It got 1 weekend for a break while we were camping and a couple of single days while we were at the lake.

10K hours would last me all of 1 year 2 months.... Give or take a couple months. Probably less becasue it's full time so it's always going to be hot. Heat is the enemy of all electronics.
