Medical question

Alright, my friend had to go to the hospital about 2 nights ago because he had a fever of 105 and none of the doctors could figure out what was going on. Well, 2 days later(today) hes feeling much better so we hung out. While we were hanging out he started to complain of a bad headache, so I said I'll just hang with him later. Now I have a REALLY Bad headache. He also had a bad headache when he had the fever too, so do you think I have what he has? If so, what do you think it is and what should I do?

Could be a different bug going around. I know there are afew here, but doesn't sound familar. Try going to a different hospital if it gets bad. If its not, then go to the local clinic (they see all the bad stuff going around). if you go to the hospital, go during the day when different doctors are working the shift. Good luck.

Completely impossible for even a doctor to say if they are related. Truly.

If it persists, or a fever comes along with it scoot along to urgent care and get checked out. In the mean time, avoid heavy lifting or strenuous work and stay out of the heat.

It's bacterial meningitis, go to a hospital asap.

A fever of 105 for a sustained period can have serious lasting effects. How long was he hovering at 105? As far as the two sets of symptoms being related, there's not enough info to be conclusive. Maybe take some acetominophen (Tylenol) to ward off any possible fevers and drink plenty of clear fluids.

I had the same thing about 3 weeks ago...temp of 104.5 for 3 days, headaches, congested chest, etc.
Went to the doc and they were afraid it was either menengitis or pnuemonia. Twice, they did blood tests, x-rays, and urine tests. I got 2 perscriptions and took Iburpophen (for pain and fever reducer) for about 3 days and it was over. I still don't know what it was but I suggest you get to the doctor ASAP!
