Bah, it's just a bumper. My back bumper also has a little mark on it from where the trailer made contact, but its nothing major that I'm going to worry about. Luckily, my radiator, transmission cooler, a/c, and intercooler weren't touched.

Yea we were standing behinds Zachs truck off the side of the road when we hear tires squeal, I look around just in time to se him swerve and clip my tail light with his mirror.

I was like, You have got to be kidding me!

He went on down the road, I thought he was just going to go on, he came back and was like, uhh I think I hit you boat.... I was just comming back from picking up his mirror, I said, uhh yea, here is your mirror. Asked if that was all it did to his and it was, so I told him to leave before the state patrol arrived and I wouldn;t say anything. Just then the patrol pulled up. The Officer was cool, he looked at teh guy and said. "Did you not see the boat sitting there?!?!"
The light was already busted and we didnt need another insurace company in teh mix. So the officer asked me and I said to send him on. His dedutable would be more than the mirror and tail light combined.

 

I was laughing by the time the officer said that... And his reply, "Uh, no, I didn't."

 

I say you take back that nomination and apply it in this thread.

That cop was pretty cool. Especially when he didn't write anyone a ticket!

Then when he was yelling at people and they werent paying anymore attention than the man on the moon. I swear it was like mass idiot day or something. Especially that lady that came up behind you when we were trying to pull the boat back and her car almost got ran over by you!

My wife said he was yelling at her to stop and even walked over to her window and told her we couldn't go forward but that you would be coming back wether she was in the way or not!

That was teh driveway that the guy that failed to signal and caused this whole ordeal, he turned into that drive teh nlater came out and I took his plates. If I knew that was his place the canoe/mailbox would probably already be gone!
He might as well pay for this mess he created somehow!

Yeah I saw him yelling at that stupid lady in the Lexus. He was giving her the WTF look with his arms and face. I wanted to invite that cop out on the lake with us, he seemed cool. His attitude was priceless, with the way he handled the idiots.

And the police were called for insurance purposes.

 

Yep insurance, if we choose to use it, will want a police report....

We debated about calling or not.... no one wanted tickets of course, but decided after a few minutes and assessing thw damages that a ticket might be cheaper and that we probably should.

 

Ouch! Man that sucks guys, I hope y'all can get everything fixed and I'm really, really glad no one was hurt. At least you got to enjoy part of your day!

 

What use to be my new prop.....



I seem to be missing a sizeable chunk out of the lower units anti captivation fin.



The entire transom is shoved forward about 3" and I'm sure all the fastners are stripped



There are a couple more chunks out of various places on the lower unit and the gimbal housing. They are miniscule and hopefully not important.

The gimbal ring is busted, and I havent been able to find one new yet. Will call a couple places tomarrow and try to track one down. The worst part of that is changing teh stupid thing. Last time I had it apart took me a total of 9 hours to get the 3 bellows put back on. They are a PIA to reach and tighten up and I did not find any seceret to doing it.
