Well found out why it sank.

One of the secondary water lines busted, It's called the "pisser line". It's a small line that runs from one of the exhaust water lines to a small port on the side of the hull so you can see if your engine is getting water or not.

Not a big deal to fix right? It was right on the end so just cut the bad section off and put it back on. It's only 6" long anyway and gheld on with hose clamps on both ends. Shouldn;t be a problem!

RIGHT.......

Have to pull the exhaust to get to the hose clamp, to pull it off from the hull fitting, to pull the exhaust, still not to hard, 2 bolts and 2 hose clamps....

RIGHT AGAIN!!!.....

I found that I had to pull the engine to move the exhuast to get to the pisser line clamp off.......

All back together and running now though, LEAK FREE!

All for one measly little line?!! Sheesh, they could have made it a wee bit simpler!

Glad you got it all fixed and running again Matt

Hey PSS,
I am glad to see everything worked out.

I have a friend who used to race those from Long Beach to Catalina and back. It's about 15 miles of open ocean. The same thing happened to him about 9 miles going over. The observation helo spotted him and it took the rescue boat 30 minutes to get to him. That channel is loaded with sharks, makos, thresher and an ocassional great white. He came out unscathed.

He stopped racing in that forum. I wonder why.

Yea here at No Coast USA, we dont have racing teams, or events. There are some free style teams that attend different events at various lakes and put on shows. Maybe, just maybe in 5 years I might be ready to see about joining up with one of them. Right now I just practice staying on the darn thing and free ride with friends.

Rose it might have been eaiser if it was stock, but when they put in the After market performance tuneable B pipe and other goodies, then it's all squeezed in there.

It's a very expensive exhaust system, cost more than most truck systems and is only 3' long. but allows you to tune it to move the power band where you want it for different riding conditions and styles.

Aha, I'm still a little fuzzy on the whole tuning thing but then some people say I'm a little fuzzy anyhow!!
