Yes! Send that judge a subscription to the jelly-of-the-month club!

My faith is somewhat restored in the justice system.

From what I understand, only 10% of the people sent to this particular jail actually spend the entire sentence there, (Most of them violent criminals.) and a large majority get house arrest with an ankle bracelet.

I'm all for Paris being treated like anyone else would be; but, how would anyone else be treated in this situation? It seems that someone is making an example of her to me.

Why do people love to hate? I read replies to this all over the place and, if I didn't know better, I would think that this woman is Charley Manson's pen-pal protege' or something. People need to get a life.

Then send her over here. Threepeat offenders don't get a slap on the wrist to shack up in mommy and daddy's house for 45 days in my neck of the woods.

What you are seeing is an outcry from the rest of the country for these people (and that would include all of them serving a 10% sentence) to be treated just like they would be if in the same situation outside the valley of fruits and nuts.

Yes, I do believe she is being made an example of. Celebrities seem to get a free pass, and the public is tired of it. Here's to 45 days behind bars for Paris.

Little cry-baby. I WANT MY MOMMIE!! WHHHHAHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Some people find it more entertaining than anything being able to watch a public figure (whom might i add is far from ever being Mother Teresa) be punished for complete disregard for the law or public safety. Just because a jail has a 10% rate of having people stay for their sentence doesnt mean we shouldn't care that a completely guilty person is above the law. They SHOULD make an example of her because she is a public figure or celebrity or celebutant or whatever the hell she goes by that unfortunately some people look up to and want to be.

I don't look up to her or want to be her; but, I don't live her life and don't presume to judge her either. The only thing I know about her comes from the media frenzy and sensationalism that surrounds her.

People are tired of celebrities that get by with making asses of themselves, are they? Well, I'm tired of the real criminals that get recycled back into society everyday. I'll save my outrage and righteous indignation for them. Thank you.

The judge interrupted several times to say that he had received a call last Wednesday from an undersheriff informing him that Hilton had a medical condition and that he would submit papers to the judge to consider. He said the papers never arrived.

Every few minutes, the judge would interrupt proceedings, state the time on the clock, and note that the papers still had not arrived.

If you raise your kids right and set the right example yourself, then the Paris Hiltons of the World are not going to influence them. If you don't, they are more likely to be influenced by someone worse that sits next to them in Homeroom or Studyhall.
