You are immeddiatly in the open country after passing the sign and the tendency is to hit it and get back up to speed after slowing to 35 in the town. There is nearly always a cop sitting around the bend and he nearly always has someone nabbed. That is the epitomy of a speed trap. The speed should be 70 there, as there is nothing but trees and open land. No telling how much they make off that trap. It does nothing to further saftey, just a one mile speed trap for the town of Calvert.
Drive through there every wkd on my way home from Cleburne. The Johnson County Sheriff DP just got a whole bunch of brand new Dodge chargers donated to them with the razor thin light bars, almost impossible to spot from a distance.

Going to work yesterday, there was a rest stop on the other side that was on a hill with a big road sign between it and the freeway. A motorcycle cop was sitting right in front of an 18 wheeler and would lean just a couple of inches around the truck and shoot laser between the trucks and the sign.
