Help: Camera Needed
Help: Camera Needed
I've been set out to find a new digital camera for our office, a real estate office. The camera we have now just doesn't get shots inside that I'd like, they're almost impossible. Considering that this camera will be used to do inside photos as well as exterior photos of homes, what can you guys recommend? I've heard a lot of good things about the Nikons, but I wanted to get some of your opinions.

An SLR is too much camera for what you need. I would first go for a Fuji or Canon P&S camera with a moderate zoom range with Fuji being my first choice.
I'm the one taking most of the photos so we don't have to worry about that. The photos are for our website and flyers that we put at the houses. Now where should I purchase from? I'd like to keep the cost below $750 as well.

I say wide angle, because when I look at interior house photos, you can't see crap with a standard point and shoot. If you get an SLR and wide angle, you'll be able to show more of the room, rather than just one corner.
It's a shame you have to stay under $750 because my sister's boyfriend (he's a professional photog) just bought the Canon Mark II, by far the most amazing camera I've ever seen but $8,000 is a little steep.

If I were you, I would look into this powershot G7, it is pretty user friendly, has a lot of accessory lenses that are compatible and has all the MP you would need

I would think that a DSLR would give you more options as far as wide-angle lens, etc.
Wide-angle lens should give you a wider view of a room (bring more of the room into the photo).
Downsides would be cost and portability. And, of course you would have to pay more to buy the wide-angle lens.
I found a good deal on my Sony Alpha on Ebay. I bought mine from Cameta Camera on Ebay and it was shipped quickly and arrived in the same box that I would have paid hundreds more for at Best Buy, Circuit City, or my local camera store.
