I just realized something. Poor Ricky Williams just wanted to get his cheech & chong on and he got sent to Canada for crying out loud. Vick kills countless animals in an amazing display of animal cruelty but is probally going to get a slap on the hand.

LOL, I totally agree. I have no problem with athletes lighting up every now and then. I don't know anyone that would consider MJ a performance-enhancing drug!

Ricky Williams and Mike Vick probably have that in common too. Vick's lil bro Marcus is a weedhound also. No place for that in sports either, but that's another thread entirely.

I think we oughta build bigger stadiums, raise the price of admission and food an pay those athletes more money. As TO once said, "hey, I gotta feed my family." I think pro sports needs more Jerry Jones's and George Steinbrenners.

GET OVER IT DAMNIT!!
Thanks brother, you hit the nail on the head with that reply Glad to see that most people here have common sense..

i may be a little late here, but i really think mike vick is the most overrated piece of **** QB there is out there!! i really wish the mangagment at the Falcons would stop kissing his *** and just fire him!!! lemme see if i can remember all thats happened in the past season ummm.. "weed-like" substance in his water bottle @ miami airport, flipping off the fans (good one mike! ), dog fighting, there's some other things that i can recall, but the point is clear. hopefully he'll get whats coming.

EDIT: did any of you guys watch the Atlanta/Dallas game @ Atlanta last season? Atlanta was getting stomped, it was like 3 min till the game was over, and vick said he had a "Groin injury" so he sat out. He knew his team was going to loose, so he stuck Schaub in there! that isn't what leader's do (QB are kind of the leader of the offense). i happened to be watching sports center that following week and they showed a clip of vick preparing for the next game and running just fine, one of the commentators said, "that groin injury seems to be just fine.." but he had a sarcastic tone to his voice. thats just the kind of stuff im sick of with vick. also, i went to the spring practice last pre-season, and i stood out there for 6 hrs, and as they were walking off the feild a bunch of ppl were calling for vick to give them signatures, but he just walked in! i know he was tired and all, but damn, you gotta be good to ur fans there the ones paying ur ****ing bills!!! anyway im done w/ this rant.

You mean this guy ...

Yea, I am a big fan of Vick's (sarcasim)... What did he say while at the FOX the other day? Something like "the fans will always love me, no matter what (mistakes I make) I am going through!!!" What a #@$@#*g LOSER!!!

These latest instances are not the reasons why I am not a fan of Vicks... All you have to do is watch him on the sidelines. He could not care less what the coaches tell him. He could not care less about the photos of the defensive alignments the coordinator's assistants are showing him between possessions. For a comparison of a winner and loser all you have to do is look at Vick on the sidelines and Manning or any other quarterback in the NFL. The sad part of it all is that Vick has more raw talent than the majority of QBs in the league, but with his approach of the game he could not be part of a winning organization for long. Of course the Falcons on the whole are not showing any signs of becoming a winning organization. How many other franchises have NEVER put back to back winning seasons together that many years in a row (40)? So maybe Vick is in the right organization, they can continue their losing ways.

I was a fan of the Falcons and was really excited about the new ownership up until I wasted money to see Vick and the dead birds (I will keep it clean) lay down in the December 2005 Carolina game. The next season in an interview, Vick said "he did not come to play that day." What a loser!!! AND what a losing organization to not BENCH him for the picture above and after admitting his attitude toward the Carolina game. I have not watched another Falcons game since December 2005 and I will go so far to say that I have no interest in even seeing the highlights from a Falcons game. I doubt this organization will ever do the RIGHT things to win.

This statement deeply disturbed me when i looked at the article on NFL.com.

"They also found items associated with dog fighting, including a "pry bar" used to pry apart a dog's jaws."

Geez those poor pitbulls
