Even if the parents never ever ever talked to him about drinking or drinking and driving, then you cant tell me he hadnt heard it in school on tv radio internet or every where billions of times. Just say no, dont drink and drive, madd, sadd etc etc etc etc.
He made the choice the guilt and punishment lays solely 100% on him. The parents and or loved ones will be punished by having to pay for his choices.

True, but the parents have everything to do with the actions of the child, so I stand by my previous statement.

If he was in the BED of the truck, he would surely have broken bones, concussion, etc... Are the authorities so lax as to not know what type of injuries would be sustained in an accident with that amount of force?? If he was in the truck, why didn't you pick him off the roof, or did the tailgate aibag save him//// WTF?? Sounds like junior has some friends in high places...

sound like this just happened. If so then he has a ticket for PI, i cant see how he has already gone to court and been senteced, yet you have no word from the insurance adjuster.

i think his story is brilliant, a good lawyer could show reasonable doubt.

If the parents slap him on the wrist, than they deserve an *** whoopin. Everyone is their own person with their own mind and no one controls their actions. His parents may or may not have taught him any better but that is besides the point, my parents taught me not to drink and drive, and I did it anyway, neither one of my parents drink either.

It sucks that your truck and house are damaged but I'm glad you and your family are ok. I hope everything gets fixed up quickly!
