I Bought a new 09 Ram. No 09 F-150 to campare to here in Calgary Alberta.
Being a new generation truck, I'm expecting some issues, But you get that with any brand of truck.

The last generation Ram is not a great truck, the hemi, is the only advantage, the new ram is vastly improved, better than gm.

Thank you all for your Ford expertise..

Rear suspension, coil link, rides great, can't tow with S...
New Hemi is a hot rod, but to be honest, it's just a car with a box.

Truck meets all my needs, but the 09 Ram is not better than the 09 F-150.

The Cummins is a beast, no doubt about it. Makes the powerstroke look stupid. I have a buddy that has the 6.7 and another that has the 5.9, both have amazing power. Towing it feels like the trailer isnt even there, and he still gets 15mpg WITH the trailer. Im beyond impressed.

Now the Ram 1500, totally different story. = POS.

It's all a bit of B/S, all trucks have thier positives and negative's, I was a loyal GM owner, But GM Pissed me off.

The 09 Ram is a thousand times improved over the 08, but its not suited to be a work truck, the suspesion on my last Z71 can out haul the coil link on the 09 Ram.

But, I want for the *** kicking power, and for the ride and handeling.

The new generation of F-150 were not out when I was truck shopping, on paper, thier built to tow, not sure how the new 6sp handels the power of the 5.43v, I drove a 08 FX4, Did not like it, really under powerd over 3 grand, I don't need a low rpm, high torque engine..
