New camera for the wife
New camera for the wife
My wife is really getting into photography now. She has been taking courses online with a friend of hers. We have a Nikon D80 and love it but she wanted a small camera to just take in her purse when she is out with the kids.
I bought her the Canon Powershot SD1000, $225 at CircuitCity.

This camera is very nice and takes great pictures for how small it is. I also bought a new Sandisk Extreme III 1GB SD card. We already ahve a 2GB card in the Nikon.

Check out the video that they took with it. I tried it and it takes great short videos in AVI format. She will probably not use this function much but it is nice to have.

The best part is that the wife was thrilled and now I will probably get the new Dewalt 18V combo kit!!

I just bought my wife a small Sony for Mother's Day. Something that she could stick in her purse to catch those moments where you might not have your camera.
Hers is the Sony W80 and it seems to be a pretty good camera.

I also have a little Kodak easy share thats the throw around camera. Not that of pics. but captures the moment.
BlueFlareside, that is an EXCELENT video for a still camera. WOW

We love our Nikon D50 and will always use it for the more professional shots.
