Or you could ride bikes (if the weather is nice) down the Canal Towpath (Ohio Canal) and eat lunch at the original Winking Lizard Tavern in Peninsula.

Since I will be married 25 years this July, I sort have forgotten what a real "date" is.

Sorry,

Tim C.

PS---I don't think they sell Buckhorn is this here parts.
Hmmm... good ideas!!
I havent riden my bike in like 5 years.
I wish I could take her out on the four wheeler, but theres not really enough land here.
A group of us are going to the Indians game in a few weeks, so that'll be fun.

I don't know what there is to do in North Ridgeville but you need to think of something unorthodox. You don't want her to think of you as unoriginal. You want your first date story to be one she can tell your grandchildren...hint hint. hehehe. Anyway, Here's a couple of suggestions...

Take her to one of those "try one out" karate classes and let her kick your butt. You'll show her you have a good sense of adventure and willing to show her your "vernerable" side. Then take her out for an ice cream and a walk to get to know her.

Take her to an arcade, she'll have some fun in an upbeat environment and it's a place where there are always lots of people so she'll be comfortable with you. (not saying anything negative about you but there are some scary dudes out there and she IS worried you may be a psyco). Then take her for a burger or pizza and sit in a booth, it's a little more intimate.

Take her to a pet store and buy her a pet. Anything from a few guppies or a beta to a parakeet or kitten. Nothing REAL extravigant just something cute. She'll see your generous side and she'll have something to take home with her that she will need to pay attention to everyday and it will always remind her of you.

Whatever you do, don't be wishy washy, but don't be arrogantly stubborn either. But most importantly BE YOURSELF! Don't make the mistake of acting like you THINK she wants you to act. If she likes you for you then your good, If she doesn't like you for you then you don't want her anyway because you can't keep up the act forever.

The love doctor is out, peace! LOL!

You'll have her home early impressing her parents and made a lasting impression on her and it didn't hardly cost you barely spent $10 maybe.
I know her Mom and good thing she likes me. She found out I paid for her Indians ticket and thought I was real sweet.
The first time I met her, a buddy dropped her on me on the couch.
The second time, at the reception last week, after we danced she kept wrapping herself around me for long periods of time, which was nice.

She likes the beach though, luckily were only a few miles away from Lake Erie.

Oh yeah... Matt... you're a weird one. But thanks anyway.

Exactly what I was thinking. I like the zoo idea too. But I need a backup plan if the weathers crappy. Its too early in the season for hott weather so it should be nice. And I looked up the address to those ice cream places, both seem to be on Lorain Rd. and easy to find. Thanks Ref.

Which one would you recommend??
East Coast Original Frozen Custard
or
Webers Premium Custard & Ice Cream

Thats good practice, but your not up to par yet. Keep at it and maybe one day you'll be man enough to take a woman for a walk in the park at dark or even close to dark with out fear of someone jumping out and killing you and.or raping her. You'd feel real manly then. LOL

In all honesty dude it really don't matter where you take her.
I picked my wife up in my dirty, trashed, beat up S10 on a sunday afternoon, after I'd been out partying all night teh night beofre and I took her to the auto store to buy a starter for my Trans Am and then went for a drive down country roads on a sunday afternoon for our first date.
I was hoping that would make her leave me alone, but she stuck around, and been around for 12 years now.

East coast Frozen Custard is on Lorain Road in Fairview Park, right across the bridge from Fairview Hospital. You could take there and go for a walk in the Metroparks right below the bridge. Webers is just right down the road---west of East Coast, just west of Wooster Road. Both are great; East coast does have a little bit better selection. Weber's though made the milshakes and the malteds for Higbee's---now Dillard's.

BTW---I stood my wife up on what was supposed to be our fist date---I was just getting the hangover at 3:00PM from the night before---woke up still drunk. I had to call her and tell her that it felt like a 20-lb sledge was working on my forehead. She hung with me though---like a said, 25 years this July; she is a saint.

one thing that will make almost any girl melt... have her out someplace with an awesome view and have something set up to play music, then have one of her favorite songs playing and ask her to dance

I personally did this last year after prom. we were walking along a lake out here in oklahoma. Theres a little lighthouse out on a peninsula type thing, stars were out, no one around, it has rained earlier that night which made the ground soft... so her heals and the gravel path didn't mix. I ended up carrying her the 100 yrds or so out to the light house. We walked around it, talked, took some pics, and then i whip out the good ole mp3 player with "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal flats cued up and asked her to dance right there.

Simplicity is the key to most things with girls.
