Why not another F-150?

i want my same truck again, and I can't afford another
I'd figure I'd drop down to a price point I can deal with (since I am moving out of the house, 100% on my own now)- save some money and in a couple years when the redesign comes out, get right back into the new 150, or a new 250 deisel...

Since you're considering the GTI, what about a STI or EVO?

Sorry to hear about the totaled truck bud... I think the Jeep would be awesome... but the VW would be fun .... If you get the jeep my BF can give you some tips... well not really he has a hummer, but if you want to set it up for offroading fun he can show you in the right direction, and tell you some great trails

I vote Rubicon the only thing I dont like about them is they are stictly meant for the trails and not the road. (Ride rough and the power is horrible, I think the 0-60 on it is like over 9 seconds...)

Me and my buddy are both a lil over 6'4 and he's got a jeep. It's actually not to bad. He doesn't mind the long drives but when I drive it my knees get a little sore. I've been looking into the new 4 door jeeps. Not many people like them but I do. But out of those 3, I'd go with the rubicon.

That's what I was going to say...

Plus, the Rubicon will end up costing the same as an F150, but it will ride like crap for 99.9% of the time you spend in it compared to an F150.

Personally, if I didn't need a truck, but wanted something nice, versatile, economical, and fun...I would go with a Hybrid Escape. I wasn't much of a fan of the old ones, and the new style took a bit to grow on me, but after some research I like it a lot.

My mom is going to sell her Yukon and either get an EDGE or an Escape Hybrid.

If you don't care about MPG (The Escape hybrid IS the most fuel efficient SUV on Earth, fyi), then consider the EDGE too. It's sporting a class-leading engine, fresh styling, and is getting RAVE reviews.

I've done a lot of research on them as well, and I can't find any reason NOT to get an EDGE.

Given your stage of life, and given the (3) choices you offered, I'd probably opt for the Hitlermobile. The Jeep doesn't do much for me, and you'd grow to despise driving it in Atlanta traffic. The Escape is nice (we have one and absolutely love it) but let's face it -- it doesn't exactly scream out "single young guy" -- it's more of a Family Truckster.

I think you're missing the boat here though -- you should be looking at a decked-out Fusion! They're awesome cars, and the sport version of the model would have just the right combination of function and "chick appeal" for a young single guy who's moving to the big city......

I'd second that Fusion. If I weren't a truck guy, I'd get that for sure.
