Fear described by those who know no better is also known as reality. It's not being affraid, but being realistic and knowing that although you helped the other person, your pocket book is getting deminished.

While you're at it, take out a 20 for me

hahaha...............just helps having a cop as a brother-in-law. You get to know all the cool little tricks that they yank others with so you can avoid them

If your going to warn me double flash quickly otherwise expect about a million lumens coming back at you along with the sound of a freight train.

No problem!

I think it's sad that you have to support yourself by writing tickets for minor things when it comes time to fill the quota. Sometimes a warning would do just as much good but noooo you have to give a ticket.

I AM a very productive member of society, thank you.

On another note, I did happen to flash a van tonight on the way to town. I saw a state trooper on my side of the road and I thought of this thread.

First off, I don't have a quota, I am allowed to write as many tickets as I like.

Second, I'm sure you and the rest of the country never done anything that you've been warned not to do. That's why we don't need laws for repeat offenders huh? Or for that matter, any laws in the first place, we just need to pay for some ad time during the superbowl and WARN everyone not to kill, steal, rape, etc. I'll make sure I write a letter to all law enforcement officers across the country and tell them that you'll never break another law because I warned you not to.

LMFFAO

I don't care who you are....that was funny.

It all depends on the respect you show an officer once your pulled over. Everyone has a brain fart from time to time, and most officers understand this. A warning usually makes a person snap out of his/her day dreaming, and will drive the speed limit at that point...others, well, they're gonna speed anyway.

There's one of the stupidest posts i've read in a while.

I'm sure you feel like such a great person for doing something that the people dont even give a **** about.

Just get a goddamn radar detector if you want a heads up for cops, then you won't have to be disapointed when nobody flashes their lights at you.

I'm guessing so as he hasn't answered me. But since the whole motto is to PROTECT and SERVE. I guess I'd be doing just as much good as he is doing since I'm essentially getting drivers to slow down. I just don't write a ticket for it.

Sorry, I guess I glassed over your post. The answer is I don't necessarily have a problem with the flash to warn deal, the problem is 200 feet down the road both drivers speed back up and resume driving carelessly. If I could flash my lights at someone and make them slow down (at least for the rest of THAT trip) I'd go through light bulbs like ***** through a goose. I'll be the first to admit, the money a ticket costs help keep the system running and some times it can be excessive compared to the offense but the bottom line is, hitting someone in the wallet is the ONLY way to get some people's attention. I will tell you though, some of my brethren are not so understanding to the flash to warn deal, It might get you more attention than you set out to get.
