Is there any way ITunes7 (for ipod) can be emailed?
I bought an Ipod right before I deployed. I asked the salesman a million times if I need to get online to make it work. (never had an ipod before!) He says, no its fine. So, I get home (the ship) to find I need frucking itunes version 7 or later to make this thing work!!!!! I am so steamed. I have internet, but I can't download a 36mb file from the apple site on my computer. We are out to sea with limited access. I'm now facing a deployment with no tunes!!!! So mad I could kill that guy! Anyway, is there anyway to get itunes without downloading it from apple? Email? I dunno?

 

Hey man I have been there cept I deleted over 3500 songs while in Iraq and thought that my life was over. I am pretty sure that you can copy it off of someones computer. If not I dont know how it will be setup but we had a sharedrive when I finally got over there that had a bunch of random tunes, videos, and programs that people uploaded on it so dont worry. Worstcase you will have to get someone from home to download it to a flashdrive or disk and send it to you in a care package. Thats how I got most of my new songs. Thanks for the advice! Ya, there are several people with Ipods onboard, so I guess I can use thier computers to load songs to my ipod?

 

yea you can use there computers but becarefull, because Itunes remembers your Ipod you may have to get the person that you are using to turn off automatic updates so when you hook the Ipod up it doesnt delete the songs already on yours and load that guys songs. I know there is a program to rip songs with out deleting your songs but I cant remember what it is but I did get it while I was out there.

 

Download a program called EphPod. Does the same thing as iTunes 7 without the huge download. Good luck, and thanks for your service to our country.
