Verizon Business (rant)

Watch out if you have a business account with Verizon. I found they had charged my company for a service that we had requested discontinued over a year before.

No matter how many times we called them they kept the billing going.

We were lucky that we had the proof and I finally got them to admit that they had been overcharging us. This took nearly two hours on
the phone at one time to accomplish.

Then they said they were going to issue a credit and now I find they never did. So I call them and they tell me its waiting for “approval”

Months go by after they admit they owe us and they do nothing.

It appears the only way to get them to give back the money that was never rightfully theirs is to get a lawyer involved.

In my opinion they are Crooks!

Could just be an issue of math.

They never did understand the difference between .02 ¢ and .02 $.

Sadly it seems to be all of them.

I have one buddy in a similar situation with Sprint and another with Cingular.

Verizon decided at some point to start charging me for detailed billing when it was actually a part of the plan that I signed up for. I just haven't felt like dealing with their BS yet to straighten it out.

I continually get hit with roaming charges inside my home area as well.

They owe us thousands, admit it, and will not give it back. So I call them yet again today, because the billing department won't do anything besides admit they owe the money, and the operator informs me that Verizon has no customer service department. I wonder how many other people they run their scams on.

You know what else, Verizon charges plan minutes as I check my own voice mail. Cell phone business may well be a bigger scam than insurance.

I assume that you are talking about the Verizon Wireless: we have a dedicated rep that I can either e-mail or call, and so far, [knocking hard on wood here...] she has taken care of every issue that has cropped up.

If you need a direct contact, throw me an e-mail and I'll send over her contact info.

What? A telco with questionable billing practices? Impossible. Take it from somebody in the business--it is not right, but it is common with telco carriers.
If you are vigilant your money will be refunded--it just sucks the burden of proof is on you, but as I said, it certainly is not uncommon.

Today I was put on endless hold, hung up on twice, told by three people at Verizon that they don’t know where their business center is, refused to be given a name of a billing manager or VP, told there was a consumer complaint line but no one knows the number, told my company’s account is unassigned so there is no Rep that can help ec. ec.

Sounds like a RICO case
