Adding insult to injury...

Toyota upped total incentives on the 2008 Tundra to $3,000 in April.

Last month the Tundra barely sold 13,000 units.

Looks like Toyota will fall short of it's sales goals of 200,000 units by years end. There is no way to meet those goals unless you sell 17,000 trucks a month consistently.

Chances are Toyota will only sell the same amount of Tundras they've been selling over the past couple years plus or minus a few thousand

You have to remember that after a sales surge, there is a decline, followed by a stabilization.. I believe Toyota will stabilize it's forces at around 12,000 to 13,000 units..

Toyota is finding that the American Truck market is a Tough Nut to Crack!
Why don't they sell these trucks to their own people. They could import them back to Japan.

After massive investments in plants, advertising and R&D it looks like Toyota's
Truck business is still operating at a loss and will take years to pay any dividends.
