I know exactly what you're talking about. Every time I get pulled over (which is quite often) there's this little voice in the back of my head that says "Just punch it". I know the area that I live very well, I've got a lifted 4wd and I know how to drive it. I feel that I could get away. I wonder how far those Crown Vics could make it into the woods...

You did the right thing. The older I get the less tolerant I am of people trying to get away with stuff. And the way our judicial system is anymore, it allows them to. NOBODDY WANTS TO TAKE RESPONSIBLITY! It would be interesting to know exactly what happens to the kid.

I was taught if you make a mistake, you need to own up to it. Lying and cheating seem to be more and more exceptable through each generation.
It's depressing

Far enough to get your plate # and be waiting at your house.

What you did took a lot of nerve, the guy could have been a serial killer for all you knew. I would have opted to just get a license number and give that to the police, but then, I tend to be not very macho

If your like me you probably didnt stop to think about the situation. Luckily it went just as you had expected and had hoped, but it could have went south at any point. Causing you to be in jail or the hospital depending on which direction it went if it would have went south.

Can't outrun that motorola twoway

i have the 9mm in a holster than i mounted in the center console...but i have an ankle holster for my 38 Special Snubnose...but i never carry the 38...
The real question is; when are you going to get a gun in a real caliber? This is Texas, you need a Peacemaker in .45Colt or a auto in .45ACP

They also have Blazers, Cherokees and Dakotas here just for that type of chase.

Yeah they have a few F150s around here, but most of them are 2wd and on stock tires, etc. I'm not saying I want the whole Sheriff's Department after me, but I'd still like to see how far I could get before they shot me or something. Call me immature, I know you're all thinking it lol.

i would have wrote down his plate number and given it to the cops,

the lady probably had insurance, and i am not getting killed or killing anyone over a traffic accident.

right thing yes, put your self in danger...yes, over a car accident.

I witnessed a hit and run on the freeway, late at night by an old 5.0 mustang. I chased the guy off the freeway and yelled at him that I had his plate and he better pull over or face more charges. He did. I waited there till the real 5-0 showed up, and turns out the guy was drunk, and had a trunk full of child pornography.

I felt damn good about myself for that one. One less sick f*ck on the streets.

Hey I know what your saying, I have the same thoughts too. Yes my wife tels me all the time how imature I am, it varies between a 5year old and a 14 year old depending on what I'm doing, getting ready to do, or saying at the time.
The difference is I may have the thoughts but doesnt mean I have to act on them and I dont see myself ever doing that again.....
It's just a thought. To me that displays some level of maturity doesn't it?

My buddys and I have thought the same kinda things with the rural cops. All they have is CVs and Impalas, how far could they really chase us through fields, the old pits or the tractor paths
