Good that you checked out the site. When I was thinking about getting my class A and going for it I read that site daily. The main thing that kept me from doing it was the number of people complaining about the job, the traffic, the rules, the time away from home but mostly the LIES told to them by the company or by dispatch!!! Not worth the hassle at this point in my life.

Best of luck in your decision

Stan

I'm talking owner operator that stays in town or a day tripper. I owned & operated a 10 wheel dump truck for 3 years. It's was a good living but I got a job offer with my current employer that I couldn't refuse so I shut it down. I still have the truck, I'm just waiting for the right time to get things rolling again .
The road is no place for a family man....thats the hard truth. Some people can make it work, the majority can't. As far as saving all your money and paying your home off. Thats a great plan, but you spend what you make. I'm not trying to be negative just giving you the truth.
