what is the big deal with people getting so bent out of shape over the video? his truck has a 27 or 30 gallon tank that can let him go about 450 miles if he's getting 15 mpg. between that and good navigation there is no way that the other teams can catch up fairly unless team 4 f's up.

I would have video'd those idiots as well, and I would have called the highway patrol. I've called the highway patrol before when people have done that around me.

he caught them cheating, they got mad. end of story. we'll never know the truth about the confrontation unless Spike releases all the footage. So will you guys please give this macho snitch crap a rest.

Good luck team 4. I'm rooting for you guys and the Charger. Push comes to shove, I'd like the Ford to win. of course

Funny thing about the whole thing is that Spike already knew they were cheating. They just wanted the drama of someone becoming the hall monitor. They've got cameras on these guys.

JWallace,

I don't know what you're suggesting about my tone changing; but, remember, you know less about me than I know about you. As far as my tone, it's 'matter of fact', not, 'in your face'. How you take it is up to you. I call it the way I see it... As is evidenced by my previous post in which I gave you props. It would not change even if you were Goldberg himself. The show's not over, I may see something redeeming in the time that's left. Like you said, it's just my opinion.

I have a feeling this "personal integrity" and "manning up" issue would be right out the freakin' window for 99.9% of us if it was US on the show. Of course there are some out there that _would_ take the loss and the public humiliation just to prove a point. Don't get mad at me yet, keep reading.

I'm pretty damn sure somewhere in the mountain of paperwork that Jason had to sign that manning up and decking Loserus Dude would be an instant DQ from the run. And then all the damage and expense he'd incurred up to that point, well I don't think Spike would be paying for any more.

Ah, but it's SO much easier for us to armchair quarterback when it's not our butt on the line. Oh, and you can bet that the fire department Jason works for might have something to say when he got back if he had anything more than Class C Misdemeanor charges for assualt & battery and/or disorderly conduct. Gosh, I guess YOU don't really think about that stuff do you. I guess it helps being a cop and a co-worker...

Really, I know Jason, and he's not just some trash talking clown.

You misread what I've written. I never said he should have laid a hand on the guy. Just that if he was going to turn them in, he should have been man enough to admit it up front when confronted. That he did it is no problem. I can see how it can be frustrating to follow the rules and be winning, just to be cheated by the rule breakers. I also pointed out that it's poor form to antagonize someone and dare them to hit you in that type of situation. Neither guy acted well.

Others here have suggested punching the guy; but, since you used my words, I'm pointing out that I'm not one of 'em.

OK so I just watched from Tivo, I'm know I'm late to the party....

First off....crazy run through the wall. Looked awesome, I wouldn't have had the nerve for that. Did you have your airbags turned off? Additionally, I would have said "You win and saved my gas and lost the minute and a half. Through the wall or not, programmer or not, no way is the F150 running a sub 12 sec 1/4.

Second. The videoing was fine, I'd have dont it in a second and wouldn't have been ashamed.

Finally, I would have admitted it. That is the only thing I would have dont dfferently. I would have just said "Yep we did, don't like it? Don't speed."

you see why can't you guys say it like this instead of calling him a snitch and a rat, or man up, i have to say that it wasn't good on jw's part to not admit it at first but when you have 3 guys barking at you, its hard to keep a clear mind, i forgive him, he does have ***** to plow through a cinder block wall so that is out of the picture and it should equal out the admitting it part

vader made an honest opinion instead of critcizing him

I wish they showed me whippin doughnuts in the desert after I went through the wall. Then I realized the front end was trashed! That has to be the next Ford commercial.

Keep dreaming kid

Exactly. That's my whole point.

I'm not out to burn the F150 guys. They're doing a kick *** job and given the format of the run, they've probably picked one of the best vehicles to do it in - it's not necessarily about speed and horsepower. If I was driving my truck in Bullrun and saw those guys breaking the rules, I'd get my video camera out too.

But when confronted by those punks (and that's what they are, punks), I'd tell 'em, "Hell yeah I caught you guys breaking the rules. And I'll do it again if you don't act right."

As tempting as it would be, I ain't advocating stomping them into the ground - that's not what I meant by manning up to them. Just that when you're confronted by them (or anyone), don't lie.

This bugs me. Not about you but about the whole show. So they just make up what they want to and edit film to justify it? I really have enjoyed the show but now I am disallusioned to say the least. Well, good luck Jason. I know you know who won but I am still pulling for ya. GO FORD F150!!!
