Boxing tips?
If you really don't like him call him out to the monkey bars and pop him in the jaw! It sounds more like you're a little hater. Get over it....don't let this be the guy that got the better of you, move on, get better at ball & be the bigger man!
But if you do decide to box him....REMEMBER TO BREATH!

Ok man, now it just really sounds like you're using the idea of a 'boxing match' as a cheap setup for a fight because either you're too afraid to fight directly, or you're just immature. And for the record, a parking lot 'boxing match' is just a fight with gloves, don't kid yourself.
As for your town's popularity contest... Who gives a flying ******* about some punk kids from some podunk little town? Maybe if you stay there your entire life BS like that might matter, but if you let kinda stuff bother you so much, you're going to have a tough life ahead of you.

Look I don't want to fight him. I want to box him. I just wanted to win so MAYBE he would stop braggin about everything. The boxing match is just for fun. My gloves won't come off untill the end of the match I'll shake his hands tell him good boking match. The boxing thing is like what we do every now and then. Its nothing like you guys are saying. I was only discribing the person. Yea actually I do have better things to do but not at 7 in the morning before school on fridays. In fact last night I hung out with a girl instead of going to either a party or hanging out with my other friends. This spring break I had planned on working and makin some serious dough but now that me and the girl are going on a roady on day and watching a movie another day. I'm not sure where to take here on a roady. I tried to get her to go last night but she said she had told a few other girls she would meet them somewhere even though she didn't want to go. I also got about 100 pounds lifted off my chest last night. She can't stand this other kid I thought that she liked so know I don't have to worry about anyone else. If I was thinkin last night I would have asked her if she wanted to do something today but I guese I wasn't thinking. I told ya'll I'd step up my game a notch lastnight. I think I've got her in arms length. See last night away from work I felt like I could ask her anything and everything. I just can't get enough of her but our age difference makes it difficult even though she isn't the bar type. I just wish I didn't have school anymore. I might now next year try to graduate mid term so I can mess around with her like all day and what not.

Ever think that the parents were just being nice so your little feelings weren't hurt? Where I come from if you want to make a team for anything you gotta bust your ***, practice every day and earn it. I know I wouldn't want some prima donna who thinks they deserve to be on my team but won't work for it. Seems like you have the same sort of attitude as the guy you want to fight, you think you're better than everyone else...
If I were your parents and saw that, I'd bring a whooping on your *** real quick. Don't blame your parents for your shortcomings. You're continuing to show your immaturity, congrats.
Good luck, sounds like you'll need it.

You will go two to three times a week and probably start sparing in about a month. You will start to see improvement in about three months and continue to workout and learn. This will also build discipline and self reliance that will help you in life. It is the only way.
As for your former friend you will find many people like him in life. The sooner you learn to concentrate on your goals rather than their behavior the better off you’ll be.

Great post. If you really want to be a good boxer.. practice... that's the only thing to make you better. Go to youtube or somthing and watch boxing matches... Watch Mike Tyson, and then watch Ali. Tyson is a "Fighter", Ali was a boxer.
I used to box regularly in high school. Actually sparring because he wore head gear. Practice is the only thing i can realy tell you.
Without training, I can say this. If you do box him, focus on him. have patience. Let him throw those haymakers.... In my opinion, throwing a haymaker and missing is worse than getting hit by one. Getting punched is the easy part of boxing.. you just stand there for that. Having endurance to carry on when your opponent is struggling for breath isthe key. Especially in ameture boxing. Good luck!
want to show him he isn't as much of a big shot as he thinks he is? do good in school, make your money and advance yourself in both school and work, find a good woman once you have yourself figured out to a decent level, and live a happy life.
Don't worry about jackasses who think they are the **** because even if you do show them up they always have a hundred excuses. just worry about you and those close to you, the jerks will find their own way through life and you will find yours and I hope yours takes you on the higher moral road.
