We finally got back to cool, "performance-oriented" cars in the late 80s. If you don't think so, look at the 5.0 Mustang, the 350 F-bodies, and the Buick Grand National. While these may pale in comparison stock-for-stock to our L's, these cars were the auto manufacturers attempt at a rebirth of any real kind of performance vehicle. Their death had occurred under Jimmy Carter.

Again, implying the Democrats are the reason for our good economy and low inflation rates, improved salaries, etc...sounds good. But, its not correct in the opinion of economists and way oversimplifies how it all works.
