Find 50 items that you can sell for $10 more than you paid for each of them,
Photograph and List at least 50 items to get 50 listings that will sell. If you do it yourself, look into eBay's "Turbolister" which can save you time when listing.
Deal with, watch, answer questions, reply to and close out, invoice and collect payment for those 50 sales,
Pack those 50 items for shipping or take to the post office and stand in line,
And do it over and over again every week.
For me, eBay can be a lot or fun, but it is also a lot of work. You are not always going to make huge profits on every item. Those $.75 shirts that sell for $125.00 don't happen every day.
I don't have a clue how so many people claim to be eBay millionaires, or make $100,000 per year. I looked at the drop ship buy wholesale stuff but most of it was crap I wouldn't want my name associated with. Maybe I am too picky, or just never found the right source to buy stuff.
Most of the really good classy stuff you could buy wholesale (like nice watches, for ex.) those wholesalers are already selling on eBay themselves, often selling for less than I could even buy them for.
Just us talkin - but eBay REALLY IS a lot of fun, but when we considered the REAL time we spent before, during and after the sale we weren't making much per hour.
We are NOT newbies to eBay, have 500+ feedback, still @ 100% positive.
No matter what you have or want to sell, someone else is also selling one somewhere out there within a few days before or later. May be a higher price, might be for lower.
Seems like you can go through your house, pick almost anything, look on eBay and you will see one listed or completed.
We have fun with eBay, but I decided to keep my "day job" where I average between $75-$100 per hour.
If you decide to try it, have fun and good luck!!!!!!!

You should just start as hobby. Look around the house that you dont need or use it, try to sell them then you will have more idea how ebay works.
I strongly agree with patrick about $0.75 shirt will not sell for $125.00 everyday. You might go look garage sales and find some very valuable stuff and get them very cheap.
Remember your junk might be somebodyelses treasure.
One more thing. USPS will drop off shipping supplies to your door, free boxes and priority envelopes. Once you sell an item, pack it up, print a shipping label from Paypal (postage is deducted/payed through Paypal), slap it on the box and schedule a pick-up from the postman. You don't have to get out of your house to go to the post office!

So you will get some new some return but you should check the list what is in it and do you think it will sell. I wouldnt recommend you to buy big lot. They are not the only one. If you searh you will get more wholeseller. Ebay takes a lot of time trust me. I used to do it for living and i will start doing it in couple of months.

I dont make money off selling on Ebay, I Save money selling on Ebay. Here's what I'm talking about.
I recently ordered a Dell Laptop. If I included a 24" LCD Flat Panel with the order, my order was expensive enough to use a $400 off Dell Coupon. Now I'm selling the 24" LCD on Ebay. Net result? My laptop is $200 cheaper.
Now I wish the damn thing would arrive. Stupid tracking info has said Unavailable since Monday.
Edit: Stupid Dell support: Connected with Deepa Balakrishnan
ARGH! India!

Hey,
I sell full-time on ebay, thats all i do. Like anyone else says, theres there ups and downs, some times you'll be on top of the game, the next week you may be selling alot of items to cheap. You can calculate an hourly rate, I sell about 40-50 items a day (sporting goods, and those imported scooter replacement parts, and consumer elctronics). I do NOTHING with drop shipping, as that will get you in bad positions and get you negatve feedback. I order semi loads of goods at once, and have a big building I keep everything in. I am actually looking for people to come work but alot of you are out of my area, im in kansas. But I have had some ideas of getting people to work for me online, so if you're intersted , hey maybe I could get you started then some day you do it on you're own! WATCH THE SITES you order from on the internet. Alot of those, they will get the pallets in, take out what they want, then sell whats leftover.
