The p3at is a great small gun and I'll be getting an ankle holster for it soon. a great BUG.

I put my pistol on when i get dressed in the morning and take it off when i go to bed. if you knew when you needed it then you wouldn't go there.
Luckily in my state the only places off limits are federal places and court houses.

Carrying a concealed pistol to a church or church gathering is a misdemeanor in Georgia, permit or not.

Then again, I'm sure the good Lord doesn't want evil men and women doing their deeds unimpeded in His house.

Yeah, churches are off-limits in NE... Not smart. There are some things I take serious, gun laws are one of them. We don't need over-zealous anti-gun people lobbing for more restrictions.

I agree with your statement about gun laws. However, I fall into a non-restricted class regarding concealed weapons due to my employer...so don't make the mad face about me and church.

H.R. 218 allows law enforcement to carry into businesses and establishments that civilians aren't allowed to (bars, government buildings, churches, schools, etc.)

Glad I'm not the only one that carries to church (when I get to go). Out of habit, I also don't bow my head or close my eyes during prayer. To used to council meetings where everyone in the south wants to pray, while I am supposed to be guarding them....

In SC, law enforcement has to meet the restrictions as set forth in their ordinances. Mine allow and encourage off duty carry w/no restrictions. The state allows carry into any property even if no CCP allowed.

Actually, H.R. 218 is a federal law that allows LE to carry nationwide off duty and concealed. Only place we cannot carry is onto a plane unless we have permission from the pilot.

Like onbelay, I encounter people I have had dealings with all the time(especially at wally world). My family comes first!

I'm all for shooting guns. I own SEVERAL, but I don't have a concealed weapons permit. I don't see the need.

Do you people seriously feel that unsafe in society that you need to carry a gun for security?

Personally, I don't want to have to shoot someone. I'd rather be in a nice street fight or somthing (if an altercation ever came to that) instead of shooting someone. I couldn't live with myself after killing someone else.

I'm not accusing any of you of this, but putting guns in everyone's hands is just asking for trouble. Some nut will have a temper tantrum and blow another man's head off.

There's just no need.

Believe me, I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to even draw my pistol on someone, let alone use it. I pray that the day will never come that I'll need to use it to defend myself.

I don't go around looking for trouble, but sometimes trouble may be looking for me. There's evil out there in the world, and they don't discriminate on who to go after and who to leave alone. Better to have and not need...and all.

Krohbar, the city's very slow. Winter duldrum's I guess....
Thanks for asking!

Just for reference, we did the first of 8 county blitzes this past Friday and Saturday nights. In two different checkpoints, we seized 9 unlawful pistols, 3 of which were in possesion of felons. Keep in mind the population in the county is fairly low and the roads we were on were not major highways. So the next time you come across a street fight or have an altercation, you will probably be bringing fist to a gun fight. That is your choice, but from the LE side of it, you just wouldn't believe how many people are drinking, driving under influence/suspension, and/or have illegal narcotics with them. Hopefully you guys and gals can get through life without meeting these people, but if in just one occurence you do, you might just need that protection. I lost count of how many people showed me CCP's as required by law in a traffic stop this weekend.
