I think it's foolish to believe that the only viable outcome in Iraq is a democratic government. Like 89 Lariet said, being on the defensive will only get us attacked again. These are terrorists. They will exploit every weakness they can.

Maybe you believe it. Maybe you don't. Some of us believe that what's going on in Iraq IS a PART of the war on terror. Go ahead. I know that Saddam and BinLaden didn't plan 9/11/01 together. I don't think that anyone has said they did. The enemy here isn't a government or a millitary. It's terrorists, who as I've said, will exploit weakness. If we show them we are weak, by being on the defensive they will strike. We need to be on the offensive. If they then strike, we need to strike back with crushing blows. We NEED to have the upper hand.

(I'm going to attemt to bring this back to topic)
Guiliani might be able to maintain the upper hand. That is if the present congress doesn't give it back to the terrorists. I guess if they do end up doing that, which seems farily likely, it's the will of the people. Right?

Wether it's Guiliani or McCain, or Romney or...... Whoever it is, they need to maintain the upper hand.

TSC
What is the alternative? Iraq will be a bloodbath if we pull out now.

Israel can handle those arab assclowns, they've done it before, they'll do it again. If things get out of hand then we'll toss in a few kill shots.

Aside from Israel the Saudi Royal Family is the closest ally the west has, regardless of what goes on in the background. The US airbases there are important to operations in the region
