I Didn't Do It!!!!!
They are loud but to me its a good loud. I actually like the sound the big military aircraft make. Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington has a sign in front of their base. It says "Pardon our noise, it's the sound of freedom". I've always liked that.

That would be Effed up to have happen!!!!
Several years ago, you probably cant do it now, but use to at Ft Lost in the Woods, you could go watch them do practice runs. They had an amphibous vehicle that they built a deck on and parked next to the control tour. They had a loud speaker outside the tower so you could hear the control tour and pliots talking. I can't remember what was flying the day I went but I'd love to go see it again.
Before the planes arrived, the control tower called out for thier 20 and ETA. The lead pilot responded with "20 is Springfield" (which is about an hour and a half drive from springfield Missouri) and ETA is 2 mins.
I was in shock and asked the commander that was on deck with us.... They are in Springfield Missouri????? He laughed and was like, "No.... Springfiled Illinois...." (That is a 3 hour drive!!!!)

The pilot skills displayed were nothing less than awesome and borderline crazy. They flew on the edge the entire time.
