Well, you'll have to jump a couple of times to get it started...when you get a rythm, it'll be automatic for a little bit...then, you'll have to start over.....dont do it too many times or you'll end up with only one man.....it's weird...do it about 3 or 4 times.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that... I never used it much (got killed alot), but once I saw someone else do it, I thought that was cool...

I forget which board it was on, but there was one where youstomp the turtle, then you could tip it to launch it, then you sprint behind it. The turtle woudl kill everything in your path, but beware, because it will hit that tube and bounce back. You had to be ready to jump, or you'd be dead too.

You didn't want to lauch that turtle between two poles either, otherwise, you'd either be dead- o rhave perfect timing to jump, hit the ground, then jump up on the tube before the turtle got you too.

Yes, you're right: 8 - 4,

Sometimes, if I wanted to save the princess quickly, I'd just warp to 8-4. But, if I had time to burn, I'd got through all 32 boards, save the princess, then start over.

PS: You couldn't "Save" Super Mario Brothers... Not on the NES. You could pause, or restart- but there was no save.

We played that and Duck Hunt a lot. There were some other cool games too, like Tecmo Bowl, and Tecmo Super Bowl. Primitive by todays standards, but they did offer a coaching type format, where you coudl pit your skills as a coach against the other guy, rather than just get beat by some joker who's found a trick play that you can't adjust to.

That's why I liked "Super Bowl Sunday" on Commodore 64. It had coaching too, and alowed you to pick a "SuperBowl" team from any year, to play against another... You could pit the 1984 49ers (I think it was the 9ers) against, say- Green Bay from the first Super Bowls...

Today's games have come a long way, but, in someways, not really.

I think it was 8 - 3 that was long as hell, then you had to make that long jump onto that itty-bitty pilar in the middle of space, then make another one to the other side. If you didn't sprint that board, time would run out before you could casually stroll through it.

************************************************** ****

As for Ms. Pac Man, I've gotten to Act III: Junior, and act IV (Which I believe was 2nd Junior). I had a friend go so far the power pills stopped working, and he was just running for his life after that.

Start: Two easy boards, but dependign on how the game is set, even on straightaways, if you're eating dots, Pinky & Blinky were faster than you.

Act I: They Meet (Yellow dots) One of the worse boards to negotiate after that, and you had to clear it three times to move on)

Act II: The Chase (Dots turn red. but you have to clear this board 4 times to move on, first set is easy.)

Act III: Junior. Dots turn back white (or light blue), first board is easy, but after that it gets harder.

Act IV. 2nd Junior: It's just a matter of time now...

Cant tell you how many times I'd pause and leave the game on with the screen off and go to bed, get up check on it, go to school, run in sit down only to find out my mom had to vacuum, blew the power or simply turned it off.

ARRGGGHHH!!!

Ahh the good ole days.

Oh and there is no reason why Duck Hunt on the Wii shouldn't work.

I want that one back.

Amen to that...it did get hard...REAL hard. I still have that game too.

I think that is what kept me playing it though. I wanted to see what was next.

Ronnie Lott was bad, and if Eric ****erson got the ball, and any spec of daylight, call it a day, that was "6".

I think in Tecmo Bowl, he was still with the Rams, but on Tecmo SuperBowl, he was a Colt.

Surprised to bee his #29 jersey wasn't retired, considering his status as a running back... Then again, someone plays in #21 for the Cowboys now too... Deion didn't stay anywhere lomg enough to get his jersey retired.

But, you'll never see another name of #80 in San Francisco. If they didn't retire #16 and #80, someone needs their **** kicked...

80 deserved to be retired but it ticked me off when he went to Seattle and he wanted their number 80 (which was retired) brought back for him.

That is just crappy

Back in the day, Jerry Rice and Joe Montana were my hero's.

That's when I watched football....all the time.

I have no desire to watch these's days, it just doesn't seem the same. It's almost like it's not about a team sport anymore, it's all about the money....

Yeah, but pro wrestling isn't a "real" sport.
