Well my son received his first BB gun this Christmas, he's 9. He goes outside all day. When he comes home completely wet and dirty he is 'yelled' at, but he knows nothing is going to happen. When he is too dirty to come inside, he gets hosed off in the back yard. He knows this is going to happen and many times hoses himself off before coming in.

I remember in the third grade when they took the hitching posts down from in front of the two room school and we got to ride a school bus. Bummer in the fall and spring but great in the winter.

My wife got a handheld Ms. pacman game for Christmas one year. It plugs into the TV or entertainment home theater receiver in my case. It has like 6 games loaded, and has my fave, Galaga.
